LG inverter technology units such as the Mini Split High Efficiency models feature a variable speed compressor that is quieter to operate and uses less energy than other air conditioners. Once the selected temperature is reached, the inverter compressor operates at low speed to maintain that comfort level.

The outdoor unit, LSU180HSV5 and the indoor unit, LAN180HSV5, work together to create the most comfortable indoor temperatures. In the heating mode, this system will provide heat when temperatures fall to -4°F! That makes this system a great option for some of the colder regions of the US. The system can operate in the cooling mode when outdoor temperatures fall to as low as 14°F and with an added wind baffle, can cool with temperatures down to 0°F.
