Great Heat, But Extra Noise! May 17, 2016

Upon opening the package, I noticed a loose piece of sheet metal inside on the floor of the heat chamber. Upon investigation, this piece belonged vertically placed to possibly stabilize each of the heaters, by fastening with only one sheet metal screw to the top. I was able to get it in place and fasten the screw from the top outside with a larger screw, since the design one was stripped. Purchased this model due to previous reviews to install in a home for my son. Home is a small two story that was gutted down to studs.

Works As Advertised With 1/2" Gas Line Nov 23, 2016

I bought the Rinnai RUC80iN because of it's ability to function with a 1/2" gas line. Starting with 8 w.c. Of pressure, I turned on both showers, the gas furnace, gas dryer and stove........still had 6 w.c. Of pressure and plenty of hot water. Easy self install.....don't believe the hype about needing a licensed plumber.....just common sense and follow the directions.
